Jamaican tourism minister Edmund Bartlett has urged financial institutions across the Caribbean to better establish a window of opportunity for small and medium tourism enterprises. Organisations, including the Caribbean Development Bank, are also urged to invest more in tourism in the region.

Jet Airways launches third London-Mumbai route
Jet Airways has introduced a third, non-stop, daily service between London Heathrow and Mumbai. Effective October 29th, flight 9W115 will depart Heathrow at 15:30, with arrival in Mumbai at 05:55, giving guests a head start to their day in India’s economic capital.
US Travel Association questions decision to withdraw funding from Brand USA
The United States Travel Association has issued a statement questioning proposals to halt funding for Brand USA. Roger Dow, president of the US Travel Association, said: “With all that is going on in the world, unilaterally disarming the marketing of the US as a travel destination would be to surrender market share at the worst possible time.”

Emirates brings second A380 to Birmingham, UK, route
